Unofficially Official

Here it is. The unofficial official announcement that we, as in my brother Daniel and I, are going to attempt a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2011. I graduate on April 30, therefore, our hike will begin the first week of May. We are planning to start somewhere about halfway up the trail and hike the northern half first. Then we will return and hike to the southern terminus of Springer Mountain in Georgia, planning to finish sometime in late October. We have a lot of saving and planning to do in the next months...equipment to buy, shoes to break-in, meals to plan, an itinerary to make. We are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
